The Row House Forum will host "An Introduction to Poetry (For Those Who Don't Like Poetry)" on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. in The Square Halo Gallery of the Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster. Caroline Covington will share her relatively newfound appreciation of poetry and read some of her favorites. Both people who already like poetry and those who are new to the subject are welcome. Tea and finger foods will be available.

Covington, nee Nixon, is a Lancaster native now living on Maryland's Eastern Shore. As an undergraduate, she studied nursing, the Bible, and music. In graduate school, she focused on the intellectual history of the church and how historical moments affect theology and Christian practice. Currently, she fills her days with gardening; knitting; cooking; communicating with family and friends; and working alongside her husband, Will, caring for their 1790s home.
