The Parent & Preschool Center, located at Mellinger Mennonite Church, will open enrollment for the 2023-24 school year on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The school serves children ages 2 to 5 at 1916 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster.

A class for 2- and 3-year-olds is offered one or two half days per week. A prekindergarten class for 3- and 4-year-olds is offered two half days, three half days or two full days per week. A prekindergarten class for 4- and 5-year-olds is offered two half days, two full days, three half days or three full days per week.

The Parent & Preschool Center strives to provide a loving and caring environment where students develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Students practice skills to strengthen motor development, participate in activities to build pre-reading and math skills, learn Bible stories and more. Maintaining a close working relationship with local schools is a priority as the Parent & Preschool Center helps children transition into the next stage of their educational experience. Since 1977, the center has welcomed hundreds of children from various religious and cultural backgrounds.

In addition to the preschool, a Women's Connections Group meets on Tuesday mornings throughout the school year. This program is for all women, with or without children, in various stages of life. Child care is available, and a child care donation is recommended; separate amounts are set per child or per family.
