Pre-K Counts Program Slated

The Owl Hill Pre-K Counts program, offered collaboratively by The Owl Hill Learning Center and Hempfield School District (HSD), will be offered at Landisville Intermediate Center, 330 Mumma Drive, Landisville. The program will run from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on weekdays and will follow the HSD calendar.

Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts provides prekindergarten services in schools, preschools, and child care centers throughout the state. The program has been approved through the Office of Child Development and Early Learning.

Owl Hill Pre-K Counts is open to HSD children ages 3 to 4, and participants must have turned age 3 on or before Sept. 1 and must meet the Pre-K Counts eligibility requirements. Materials and breakfast or lunch will be provided at no cost to families. Transportation will be the responsibility of the family, as no busing will be offered for this program.

Staff members will conduct eligibility screenings by appointment. The application and eligibility screening form are also available at http://www.hempfieldsd.org/prekcounts.
