Piano concert slated

Asiya Korepanova will present the second concert in this year's Lancaster International Piano Festival series at the Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster, on Saturday, Nov. 2. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall.

Korepanova began learning to play the piano from her mother at the age of 4, started composing at age 6, and made her orchestra debut at age 9. She has been featured on CNN and NPR and has performed at Carnegie Hall. Not only is she known for a repertoire encompassing more than 60 piano concertos and solo works, as well as transcriptions of Strauss, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and others, but she is also recognized for multimedia projects that include art and poetry.
