Peters, Lehman Recognized

Troy Peters and Camdyn Lehman have been selected as January's Seniors of the Month at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month and recognizes them at the club's April meeting. The Boys of the Month are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manheim. Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character and involvement within the school and community.

Troy, 17, is the son of Brian and Michelle Peters of Manheim. He is currently class president, Student Council president, German Club vice president, a part of the Interact leadership team, and a member of Mu Alpha Theta. Troy participates in soccer and track. He is Mini-THON overall chair, and this year he was selected to be a member of the Mini-THON Student Leadership Council, which represents more than 90,000 students fighting to conquer childhood cancer. Troy is a volunteer as a first-grade small group leader at Manheim BIC on Sundays, and this past summer he participated in the Manheim Project. After high school, Troy plans to attend college to become a secondary education social studies teacher.

Camdyn Lehman, 17, is the daughter of Dwight and Christine Lehman of Manheim. She has participated in school activities as the captain of the field hockey team and is a member of the worship group, Interact Club, Spanish club, and National Honor Society. Camdyn has volunteered in the kitchen at the Water Street Mission, helped at the Manheim Community Library's annual book sale, and provided child care while parents attend PTO meetings at the Baron Elementary School. In college, she plans to study health care administration with a minor in business.
