Eastern York Recreation Authority has announced upcoming programs. All programs require registration. Program details and registration information can be found at http://www.easternyorkrec.com.

Gingerbread Man Painting will take place on Friday, Nov. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hellam Township Administrative Building, 35 Walnut Springs Road, York. Step-by-step instructions will be provided to help attendees create a 12-by-14-inch seasonal painting on canvas. The program is for people age 6 and up, and children must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies are included in the fee.

Sleigh Paint Night will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lower Windsor Township building, 2425 Craley Road, Wrightsville. An instructor will lead attendees in painting 18-inch, winter-themed wooden sleighs with their choice of three designs. The program is for those age 12 and up, and no experience is necessary. All materials are included in the fee. Registration is required by Sunday, Nov. 12.

A family-friendly Owl Prowl will be offered at Emig Park, 2 Buttonwood Lane, Hallam, on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. Attendees will be introduced to the owls that live in the park, learn about their unique features that help put them at the top of the food chain, learn to identify them by sight and sound and call to the wild owls. There is no charge.
