Orchestra Announces 2022-23 Season

The Hershey Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2022-23 season.

The season will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. with "Broadway Showstoppers," featuring vocal selections by Broadway performers Jonathan Shew and Rebecca Robbins. The concert will be conducted by Greg Woodbridge.

The "Fall Classics" concert on Friday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. will include classic orchestral music. This concert will be under the direction of Sandra Dackow.

The Hershey Symphony will ring in the holidays with two performances of its "Holiday Spectacular" at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. The concert, under the direction of Greg Woodbridge, will feature a vocal cameo performance by abc27 news anchor Dennis Owens. It will also include performances by the combined choirs of Hershey and Palmyra middle schools on choral selections.

Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World," and Vaughan Williams' Oboe Concerto featuring Andreas Oeste, principal oboe of the Harrisburg Symphony, will be on the program at the Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, concert at 8 p.m. This concert will be under the direction of Woodbridge.

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 8 p.m., the Hershey Symphony will present "A Tribute to Elton John," featuring a rock band, the full orchestra, and vocals by Clayton Lee. The concert will be conducted by Dackow.

The Hershey Symphony Orchestra will wrap up its season with "Italian Accents" on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 8 p.m. The concert will feature Tchaikovsky's "Capriccio Italien" and Holly Workman as violinist soloist on "Summer" from Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons." The concert will be conducted by Dackow.
