Open Stage, 25 N. Court St., Harrisburg, will present "The Mad Ones," an original musical by Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk, from Saturday, Feb. 12, to Saturday, March 12, on the Capital BlueCross Main Stage. Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 13 and March 6. A reception will be held in conjunction with the opening night performance on Feb. 12, and a Lobby Talk will be held after the performance on Feb 13.

The musical, which takes its name from a passage in Jack Kerouac's "On the Road," finds Samantha Brown facing a choice: Will she follow in her mother's footsteps or chart a new path? The show is a journey of loss, freedom, and what it truly means to live life to the fullest. Its songs include "Run Away With Me," "Say the Word," and "Freedom." "The Mad Ones" opened Off-Broadway in November 2017.

"The Mad Ones" is directed by Stuart Landon and has a cast of local actors Carly Lafferty, who plays Samantha; Maggie Haynes; Nik Olson; and Rachel Landon. The design team includes music director Nicholas Werner, set designer MO Geiger, lighting designer Tristan Stasiulis, and costume designer Jack Weitzel.
