New mental health clinic opens

Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Harrisburg has opened a walk-in mental health clinic, the Labre Clinic, in Harrisburg. The official opening took place on May 8. Catholic Charities staff members and Bishop Timothy C. Senior, bishop of Harrisburg, offered brief remarks before a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Tours of the new facility were available.

The Labre Clinic, located at 2600 N. Third St., offers walk-in mental health services to anyone in need, especially those who are homeless. The clinic was named in honor of Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, the patron saint of the homeless and those who have a mental illness.
