The owners of Ames Construction Inc., a commercial general contractor based in Ephrata, sold their Nauman Cabinetry division, located in Lancaster, to Alliance Custom Cabinetry of East Earl on July 20. Alliance focuses primarily on the residential market while Nauman is focused solely on commercial cabinetry. Alliance plans to use the deal to help it expand its presence into the commercial arena.

The agreement also involved two real estate deals. The owners of Ames Construction sold the property where Nauman is headquartered at 351 Sprecher Road, Lancaster, to Alliance. Alliance will move its entire operation to this facility.

In turn, Alliance sold its current property at 857/859 Broad St. (Route 897), East Earl, to the owners of Ames. Ames will move its Eby Exteriors division to this facility. Eby Exteriors is currently based in Akron and focuses on residential and light commercial replacement work as well as additions and remodeling.

The business sale and the real estate settlement were handled by Legacy Law of Lititz. Both real estate sales were brokered by U.S. Commercial Realty, with Scott Bradbury representing Alliance Custom Cabinetry and Phil Eby representing Ames Construction Inc.
