Music Students Join In Regional Festivals

Lower Dauphin High School (LDHS) chorus and orchestra students recently attended Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) regional festivals.

Four LDHS vocalists qualified for the 15-county PMEA Region V choral festival, which was scheduled to be held from March 24 to 26 at Conrad Weiser High School. Cadence Kanode, Audrey Meyers, Aden Weigle, and Jonathan "Jack" Wolfe successfully auditioned at the eight-county PMEA District 7 choral festival. They are directed by Elizabeth Colpo, director of choirs at LDHS.

Additionally, LDHS juniors Joseph Goduto, viola, and Antonio Mardegain, bass, participated in the Central Region Orchestra Festival from Feb. 24 to 26 at Dallastown Area Intermediate School. The guest conductor was Cesar Leal, director of orchestral activities and professor of musicology at the Sunderman Conservatory in Gettysburg College.
