Museum, film festival announce collaboration

The North Museum of Nature and Science will be one of three screening locations for the Red Rose Film Festival on First Friday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 4. As an Executive Producer-level sponsor of the Red Rose Film Festival (RRFF), the North Museum will open its 85-seat planetarium for screenings of several of the festival's selected independent films.

In addition to the North Museum, the screening locations for the four-year-old festival are Zoetropolis and Lancaster Southern Market. One of the festival's goals is to promote Lancaster to global filmmakers as a fertile place to create future works.

From more than 100 films submitted from all over the globe, the final selections will be made by a diverse panel of judges. Film submissions are due Friday, Sept. 1, and the screening schedule will be announced in mid-September. Additional information is available at http://www.redrosefilmfestival.com.
