Ms. Senior America Pageant Planned

The Ms. Senior America pageant, for women age 60 and up, will be held at the Hershey Lodge, 325 University Drive, Hershey, this year for the first time. The Ms. Senior America organization believes that seniors are the foundation of America and the nation's most valuable treasure as it is upon their knowledge, experience and resources that the younger generation has the opportunity to build a better society.

National Ms. Senior America queens and runners-up have been featured on the Rachael Ray Show, in the New York Times, and in AARP magazines. Forty-two contestants from various states and territories of the U.S. are scheduled to compete this year.

The events are open to the public and will be held on Wednesday to Friday, Sept. 7 to 9, in the Red Room at the Lodge. The first preliminary will be held on Sept. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m., and there will be a Talent Showcase of former pageant queens on the same day from 7 to 9 p.m. The second preliminary will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. The final competition will be held on Sept. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m.; during this event, the current Ms. Senior America, Laura Morgan from North Carolina, will transfer her title to the new Ms. Senior America.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. For more information and ticket prices, call 610-905-0316. For a list of this year's competitors, visit https://mssenioramericallc.com/state-queens.
