Mount Joy Rotary Recognizes Students

Donegal High School has announced that Emily Corl and Thomas Dohl Jr. are the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for September. Students of the Month are honored by members of the Mount Joy Rotary during the group's monthly luncheon meeting

Emily, the daughter of Carl and Stephanie Corl of Mount Joy, is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Quiz Bowl, Orchestra and Science Olympiad. She is also a member of Peer Tutoring and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Outside of school, Emily enjoys attending church youth group and tutoring.

Her plans after graduation are to attend college, study biology and pursue pharmaceutical research or a secondary biology education.

Thomas, the son of Thomas and Tashauna Dohl of Mount Joy, is a member of the National Honor Society, treasurer of the National Art Honors Society and treasurer of the Math Honors Society. Thomas is also a member of the Donegal Swim Team, Donegal Cross-Country Team, Donegal Prayer Group and Peer Tutoring.

Outside of school, Thomas is involved in the Mount Joy Lions Swim Team, Elizabethtown Aquatics Club and USA Swimming and attends church youth group. He has also been a lifelong member of the Boys Scouts of America and most recently obtained the rank of an Eagle Scout.

After graduation, Thomas plans to attend college and study biology with a minor in business.
