Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, has planned two Christmas events.

The church will host its annual Advent Tea on Saturday, Dec. 7, from noon to 3 p.m. Hot beverages, Moravian sugar cake, and baked goods will be available in the fellowship hall and surrounding rooms. Music will be provided by a string ensemble from Lititz Academy of Music.

New this year, the church will host a Maker's Market, including jewelry, painted shell ornaments, and items made through needle felting. In addition, attendees may browse vintage earrings, vintage jewelry, gently used books and CDs, and fresh greens and arrangements. All vendors will be on the first floor adjacent to the fellowship hall or in the back lobby.

The Putz will be presented every half hour beginning at noon, with the last showing at 2:30 p.m.

The Moravian Mission Gift Shop, located across the street from the Advent Tea, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will offer Christmas gifts and Moravian stars for purchase.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to offset the costs, and all funds raised will go to local and global charities. The event is handicapped-accessible.

The congregation will also hold its Christmas Vigil on Saturdays, Dec. 14 and 21, and Sunday, Dec. 22, at 5 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, at 5 and 7 p.m. The candlelight vigil features the traditional Moravian Lovefeast and music performed by the Lititz Moravian Church choir and orchestra. There is a limit of five tickets per person.

Individuals requesting tickets should include the preferred vigil date and time as well as a second choice, along with their phone number.

Tickets can also be requested at http://www.eventbrite.com by searching for "Lititz Moravian Christmas Vigil Service." People can print the tickets at home and then bring their ticket or phone copy to the session they will be attending.
