Medicare Open Enrollment has started, and PA MEDI counselors will be available to provide free help with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plan comparison and enrollment on Thursdays, Nov. 18 and Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To schedule an appointment, contact the Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging at 717-780-6130.

Additionally, Jay from Go Comprehensive will provide Medicare help in the lobby on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Individuals may drop by to ask questions about Medicare Open Enrollment.

The book club will meet monthly on select Mondays at 2:30 p.m. On Nov. 29, the group will discuss "The Cuban Affair" by Nelson DeMille. On Dec. 20, the club will focus on "West With Giraffes" by Lynda Rutledge.

A drive-through holiday party will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who attend are encouraged to wear a holiday shirt or sweater. The party will feature holiday trivia, prizes for dressing up, and possibly a special guest or two. The party will feature a meal of Swiss chicken bake, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, cranberry relish, and dessert. There is a fee, and all proceeds will benefit the center. Registration must be made by Tuesday, Nov. 30.

The senior center is collecting trending, new, and unwrapped gifts for 12- to 18-year-olds through Cocoa Packs. Monetary donations to assist with the purchase of gifts will also be accepted. All gifts should be donated by Dec. 3.

The center will be closed from Friday, Dec. 24, to Friday, Dec. 31. It will reopen with its normal programs on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
