Middletown Library Plans Book Sale

Middletown Public Library, 20 N. Catherine St., Middletown, invites the community to its fall book sale. A preview sale will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. There is a fee to attend the preview sale.

The book sale will be open to the public on Monday, Nov. 1, to Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. From Nov. 1 to 11, there will be a bag sale on children's books, young adult books, Christmas books, and mass-market romances. All book sale items will qualify for a bag sale on the last day, Nov. 13.

The book sale will feature over 30,000 items sorted into at least 50 categories. In addition to the aforementioned categories, the sale will include new hardcover and paperback fiction, classics, nonfiction books on a variety of subjects, large-print books, DVDs, vinyl, CDs, audiobooks, jigsaw puzzles and board games. Most collections will be sorted by author. Publication dates will be from the 1800s to the present, with a special area for rare and old books.

Separate fees have been set for hardcover and for paperback books. All sales are subject to Pennsylvania sales tax.
