Lower Dauphin Middle School principal Kara Schoessler introduced 13 students to the school board at its May 15 meeting. The students are the school's eighth-graders who will complete their entire middle school career having been named to the distinguished honor roll every marking period.

They are Christopher Brenneman, Abigail Collins, Joie Krantz, Addy Leppo, Lily Mayer, Nova Mayer, Alexa Misiolek, Addison Moran, Savannah Ogle, Graycyn Ream, Lily Rost, Thaddeus Shradley and Aurora Speck.

Christopher is the son of Jonathan and Sara Brenneman. He plays soccer and plays the flute in the band.

Abigail is the daughter of Sherri and Dan Collins. She plays soccer at school and club soccer in the community.

Joie is the daughter of Andrew and Angela Krantz. She plays the guitar and enjoys arts and crafts.

Addy is the daughter of Liz and Chris Leppo. She plays field hockey and softball.

Lily Mayer is the daughter of Deborah Landis and Daniel Mayer. She plays alto saxophone in the band and jazz band, is a competitive gymnast and volunteers at her church.

Nova is the daughter of Deborah Landis and Daniel Mayer. She plays French horn in the band and is a member of the field hockey and track and field teams. She plays softball in the community and volunteers at her church.

Alexa is the daughter of Maryann and John Misiolek. She plays field hockey, basketball and soccer.

Addison is the daughter of Daren and Kim Moran. She plays basketball and soccer.

Savannah is the daughter of Lori and Brian Ogle. She plays clarinet in the band and jazz band, was first chair at the Dauphin County Band Festival and earned a spot in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Band Festival. She also participates in cross-country and track and field.

Graycyn is the daughter of Kevin and Jamie Ream. She plays the viola in the orchestra, takes karate lessons and volunteers at Capital Area Therapeutic Rding Association (CATRA).

Lily Rost is the daughter of Meredith and Ty Rost. She plays field hockey and participates in track and field.

Thaddeus is the son of Amanda Rohrbaugh and Ryan Shradley. He plays the trumpet in the band and participates in cross-country and track and field. He also plays baseball and volunteers at his church.

Aurora is the daughter of Nicole and George Speck. She is a member of Student Council and plays softball.
