Mediation Training Posted

Advoz will offer Basic Mediation Training. Sessions will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 19 and 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the High Foundation, 1861 William Penn Way, Lancaster; on Thursdays, Oct. 22 and 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. virtually via Zoom; and on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 2 and 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Bar Association, 28 E. Orange St., Lancaster.

Participants will learn to apply the Facilitative Mediation Model with a co-mediator in a range of disputes, including settings that involve neighbors, workplaces, families, and landlords and tenants. Using high-impact experiential and simulation learning methods, Advoz trainers will help attendees to understand conflict dynamics, what situations work or do not work for mediation, and how to successfully facilitate conflicted parties through the process, with legal and ethical considerations for using the process in Pennsylvania.

A discount will be available for those who register before Monday, Aug. 24, and use the code "AdvozEarlyBird." Registration is required by Monday, Oct. 5, at https://advoz.charityproud.org/EventRegistration/Index/28479.
