McNees Welcomes Phillip Michael

McNees Wallace & Nurick recently announced that attorney Phillip Michael has joined the firm's Litigation Group in its Lancaster office.

Michael has more than a decade of litigation experience in both the private and public sectors. He joined McNees from a Lancaster-based law firm and previously served as deputy attorney general for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, representing commonwealth agencies and departments in state and federal court. Earlier in his career, Michael served as an assistant public defender manager and an assistant public defender in the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office. His courtroom experience spans state and federal jury trials, along with appellate work before Pennsylvania's Superior and Commonwealth Courts.

At McNees, Michael will focus on commercial and civil litigation, representing businesses and individuals in contract and business ownership disputes, real estate and employment matters, and municipal and civil rights claims, while also supporting the firm's higher education clients.

Michael earned his law degree from Temple University and a bachelor's degree in political science and English from Gettysburg College.
