Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare items for their upcoming holiday bazaar. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the community room of the Luther Acres Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz. Shoppers will be able to pay for their purchases via cash or check. Proceeds will support the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.

The bazaar will feature more than 20 artisan vendors selling a variety of items, as well as many items made by Luther Acres residents. Various stands will feature handcrafted items, knitted and crocheted items, wooden crafts, pottery, baskets, painted T-shirts and more. There will also be an array of donated jewelry, attic treasure items and Christmas decorations for sale.

A highlight of this year's bazaar will include a silent auction of several donated pieces of artwork and collectibles. The items are being sold "as is" and will be on display during the bazaar. Bidding will end at 1:30 p.m. Winning bidders will be posted and announced for each item.

Items up for bid include several framed watercolor paintings by Roberta "Bobbie" Diehm, including "Lititz Railroad Station," "Old Tractor In A Field," "Old Panel Truck - 1984" and "Looking Out A Barn Window - 1981"; a framed, limited edition watercolor print by P. Buckley Moss, "Twilight Ride"; limited edition Steiff Teddy Bear scenes, including "Bears On A See Saw with a replica of a 1924 pull toy - 1988" and "Camp Fire Bears"; 11 Byers' Choice collectible figurines; a Byers' Choice doll storage chest that holds 12 dolls; and a limited edition William Shatner signed Cpt. Kirk "Star Trek" photo plaque.

Attendees are also welcome to enjoy a pancake breakfast in Katy's Grill, a campus restaurant in the Towne Center, from 8 to 10 a.m. The breakfast will feature pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for a set fee, which may be paid with cash only. Proceeds will benefit the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.
