LSHS Honors Students Of The Month

A sophomore, two juniors, and a senior were selected by Lampeter-Strasburg High School (LSHS) faculty members as the Students of the Month for March. The Pioneer Superlatives were Grace Schonour and Riley Wissler. The Students of the Month were Jordan Dilling and Artem Nebel.

Grace is a junior and the daughter of Craig and Jennifer Schonour of Willow Street. She is active in chorus, Interact Club, Varsity Club, National Honor Society, and the varsity volleyball and swim teams. She is an honor roll student and has earned two-year varsity letters for swimming and volleyball. Outside of school, Grace attends church and volunteers at Blessings of Hope and Pet Pantry. She intends to pursue a career in the medical field, potentially as a nurse anesthetist, physician assistant, or pediatric doctor.

Riley is a senior and the son of Tessa and Damian Wissler of Lancaster. At LSHS, he is the National Honor Society co-president, the varsity cross-country team captain, and a member of the L-S Model UN. Riley was recently a Rotary Club of Lancaster South Student of the Month. Riley plans to attend Dartmouth College to study biochemistry with the goal of becoming a researcher.

Jordan is a junior and the daughter of John and Susan Dilling of Willow Street. She is the GSA president, a stage crew manager, and a member of the L-S Thespian Society, Inter-Club Council, Dungeons and Dragons Club, chess club, Varsity Club, art club, color guard, the spring musical set painting team, and the varsity girls' lacrosse team. Jordan was chosen as an L-S mentee for the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Mentor Program and has made the honor roll several times. Outside of school, she plays lacrosse for Lanco Elite, attends youth group at Pequea Church, helps produce theatrical shows, and grows food for Lancaster's homeless population from her family's garden. She hopes to attend college with the goal of becoming a visual arts teacher or studying law.

Artem is a sophomore and the son of Craig and Kristen Nebel of Lancaster. He is an LSHS varsity track and field team member and is a soccer referee outside of school. Artem also practices coding and web development.
