Lower Dauphin Students Attend HCEP

Lower Dauphin High School students Paige Berzinski, Katie Estes, Gabby Goodman, Olivia Murray, Sarah Pikhit, and Carlos Rodriguez are among the students attending the Healthcare Career Exploration Program at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine.

Lower Dauphin, Central Dauphin School District and Derry Township School District participate in the HCEP program, which allows high school students the opportunity to interact with health care professionals in a real-work environment. Due to the effects of the pandemic, the program is being held virtually this year.

Attending from Central Dauphin are Ava Hess, Hadiyah Khalfani, Rayana Parks, Teagan Proctor, and Sofia Santiago. The participants from Hershey High School are Hannah Catalone, Caroline Diem, Claire Hohl, Marissa Kopec, Bryce Mills, Moiz Nasir, and Julia Semple.

The program is supervised by Sonnya Nieves from Penn State College of Medicine, Elizabeth Potter from Central Dauphin High School, Victoria Smith from Hershey High School, and Renee McMinn from Lower Dauphin High School.
