Local Farmland Preserved

State Rep. Bryan Cutler recently announced that a 39-acre crop and livestock farm owned by James and Sandra Sensenig, located in Little Britain and Fulton townships, is now officially marked as preserved.

The State Agriculture Land Preservation Board voted to preserve 2,079 acres on 24 farms in 14 counties across Pennsylvania, protecting them from future residential or commercial development. Including the Sensenig farm, the state's Farmland Preservation Program has protected 6,621 farms and 658,681 acres from future development across the commonwealth.

The Sensenig farm preservation will be funded by $88,166 from the state and $84,086 by the townships.
