Lititz Library Posts Schedule

The library will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 31, and Thursday, Jan. 1.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Tuesdays, Jan. 6 and 20, at 2 p.m.

Grief Stories will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. Grief Stories provides a space for hearing firsthand accounts of overcoming a tragic death and living with hope and purpose.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, Jan. 5 and 19, at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays, Jan. 13 and 27, at 6 p.m.; Baked Books Club on Jan. 13 at 2 p.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesdays, Jan. 7 and 21, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Jan. 14 and 28, at 12:30 p.m.; Lego Club, for children ages 6 to 10, on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m.; Exploring Growing Together on Thursdays, Jan. 8 and 22, at 11 a.m.; Writing Club on Jan. 19 at 1 p.m.; Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group on Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m.; Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga on Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m.; Lititz Art Association on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.; and BYOB Book Club, for which attendees may bring whatever they are currently reading, on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m.

The Lititz Garden Club will meet on Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. Andrew Leahy, education and outreach specialist from the Horn Farm Center, will present a program.

The library's Hygge Cozy Cafe will be open on Thursdays, Jan. 15, 22, and 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. Guests may enjoy some games, quiet reading, and simple crafts.

A concert by Bobbi Carmitchell and Friends will take place on Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Lititz Historical Foundation will offer a program on Jan. 17 at 1:30 p.m. Darlene Colon will present "The Christiana Resistance."

The Jane Austen Society of Lancaster County will meet on Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

The Genealogy Club will meet on Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

The Winter StoryWalk featured book is "So Much Snow" by Kristen Schroeder.

Winter Storytime registration will begin on Jan. 5 at 9 a.m.

During the Paws to Read program, children may read stories to trained therapy dogs. The program will be offered on Saturdays, Jan. 10 and 24, at 10 a.m.

Cruise into Kindergarten, for children ages 3 to 6, will be held on Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Giant Junior Chef Creations will be offered on Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. Children age 5 and older may learn about healthy foods and make a healthy snack.
