Members of the Mountville Lions Club recently presented proceeds from their chicken potpie dinner to the Northern York County Regional Police Department and the West Hempfield Township Police Department in honor of three Northern York Regional police officers who were killed in an ambush on Sept. 17, 2025.

The donation was the result of a request by the owner of the Mountville Citgo, who approached the Mountville Lions and said that he would like to work with the club to do something to show support for the fallen officers and for the local police.

Due to a donation from the Mountville Citgo and the generosity of the community by those who supported the chicken potpie dinner, $1,000 was raised for the Northern York County Regional Police Department, and $500 was raised for the West Hempfield Township Police Department.

The Mountville Lions will hold its next chicken potpie supper on Saturday, March 21.
