Library Posts Summer Reading Program

The Quarryville Library Center, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, has announced this year's countywide Summer Reading Program, "Unearth a Story." The Summer Reading Program invites children, teens, and families into local public libraries for reading, activities, and programs that focus on literacy; science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM); and creativity.

The Quarryville Library Center will host a Summer Reading Launch Party on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Phredd's One Man Ukulele Band will perform at 11 a.m.

On Wednesday, June 17, the library will hold a Dino Party at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 2 through 7. The event will include a story about dinosaurs, as well as games and activities to further kids' learning and imagination.

Adam Zurn of Unchartered Lancaster will present "History Adventures With Uncharted Lancaster" on Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m. The program will be equal parts storytelling, history, and hands-on discovery.
