LD High School student-athletes announce college decisions

Eleven Lower Dauphin (LD) High School seniors announced their college decisions at a signing ceremony on May 18 in the school gymnasium. They were surrounded by family members, coaches, staff members, teammates and friends as they signed letters stating their intention to continue their academic and playing careers at the next level.

Participants in the ceremony were Andrew Bell, baseball; Lilli Knudsen, basketball; Tanner Webb, football; Shannon Miller, lacrosse; Corbin Jockers, rifle; Lexi Wells, soccer; Rylee Hartwick, softball; Jeff LaRuffa and Luke Schnoor, swimming; and Mary Coyle and Will Sierer, volleyball.

Andrew is the son of Dave and Kelly Bell. He has played baseball for the Diamond Falcons for four years and also plays club baseball. He will attend Averett University to major in sports medicine.

Lilli is the daughter of Adam and Jolene Knudsen. She is a four-year member of the girls' basketball team and was a Keystone Division All-Star honorable mention. She also plays travel basketball. She will attend Alvernia University to major in physical therapy.

Tanner is the son of Kate and Jeff Webb. He is a four-year member of the football team and earned first-team all-star defensive and second-team offensive honors. He was also named the team's defensive Most Valuable Player. He will attend Delaware Valley University to study business.

Shannon is the daughter of Jennifer and Christopher Miller. She is a three-year member of the girls' lacrosse team and has played club lacrosse with Mid Penn Blaze for two years. She will attend Mount Aloysius College to major in nursing.

Corbin is the son of Aaron and Alyssa Jockers. He competes in Olympic rifle in the community, earning the Pennsylvania Juniors Prone Championship in 2021. He took second place the past two years in regionals in three-position air rifle team competition. He will attend the University of North Georgia, where he will major in political science.

Lexi is the daughter of Justin and Laura Wells. She is a four-year member of the District 3 champion girls' soccer team and also plays club soccer in the community. She will attend DeSales University to major in medical studies.

Rylee is the daughter of Lyndsay and Andrew Hartwick. She is a three-year member of the softball team and plays travel ball in the community. She will major in elementary education at Penn State Harrisburg.

Jeff is the son of Chrissy and Mike LaRuffa. He is a four-member of the boys' swim team and was a varsity letterman. He also swims for the Hummelstown Flamingos in the summer. He will attend Lebanon Valley College to major in business administration.

Luke is the son of Bill and Jodi Schnoor. He is a four-year letterman with the boys' swim team, and he participates in winter and summer club programs. He will attend Penn State Altoona to major in chemical engineering.

Mary is the daughter of William and Kristen Coyle. She has played club volleyball for four years. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where she will major in nursing.

Will is the son of Annie and David Sierer. He is a four-year member of the two-time state champion boys' volleyball team. He has been a first-team all-star at the state, district and conference levels and is the fourth player in school history to have 2,000 assists. He also plays club volleyball. He will attend Juniata College to major in business marketing.
