Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum, 2451 Kissel Hill Road, Lancaster, has posted upcoming homeschool classes. These activities will be held on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

"Mirror, Mirror" will offer an opportunity to learn the background and technique of reverse glass, a folk art that was popular during the late 1800s. Students will also complete a painting during this activity on Feb. 15. This class is for children ages 8 to 11.

Students ages 5 to 11 may participate in "The Birds and the Seeds" on March 7. Designed as an introduction to gardening, the program will offer activities such as learning about garden tools and how to plan a garden, visiting the Heirloom Seed Project and learning about seed saving, and exploring the outdoors through bird watching.

In celebration of Groundhog Day, Landis Valley is offering an opportunity for Landis Valley Associates members to secure eight more weeks of membership benefits for free. Anyone who purchases a new membership, renews a lapsed membership, or extends an existing membership by Monday, Feb. 5, at 8 a.m. will receive an additional two months of free membership added to the length of their membership term. This promotion applies to Groundhog Day gift memberships to friends and family as well.

Four methods are available for renewing a membership. Orders can be made in person at the historical site's front desk in the Visitor Center during regular business hours, including from Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 4. Membership renewals can also be made by visiting http://www.landisvalleymuseum.org; by calling 717-569-0401, ext. 288, through 8 a.m. on Feb. 5; or mailed with a postmark no later than Saturday, Feb. 3.
