Lampeter United Methodist Church (UMC), 1101 Village Road, Lancaster, will host "A Summer Night Out" on Wednesday, July 28, in the all-purpose room. Refreshments will be available starting at 6:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 7 p.m. The event is free.

Guest speaker Clark Fredericks will tell his story of hope and redemption. Fredericks experienced years of abuse by a leader from his hometown. After dealing with his pain through drugs, gambling, and alcohol, Fredericks had a chance encounter with his abuser, which led to a confrontation. What happened next changed the course of his life. Fredericks' story has been featured on "The Tamron Hall Show" as well as on an NBC-produced documentary on the Oxygen Network.
