Lampeter-Strasburg Welcomes New Employees

Lampeter-Strasburg (L-S) School District recently welcomed new employees to start the 2021-22 school year:

Amanda Allison, an L-S alumna, has joined the district administration team as assistant business manager. She began in the role during the summer. She comes to L-S from the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC), where she also served as assistant business manager. Previously, she was an accountant at LCCTC and at Auntie Anne's. She holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, actuarial science, and statistics and a minor in finance from Millersville University. She resides in Strasburg with her husband and two sons.

Lampeter Elementary School welcomed the following teachers and guidance staff members: Jenna Fargo, long-term substitute kindergarten teacher, and Rachel Welsh, learning support teacher. Hans Herr Elementary School welcomed fourth-grade teachers Elizabeth Ebert and Chelsea Hancock and fifth-grade teacher Janelle Konkle.

Serving as fifth- and sixth-grade guidance counselor at Hans Herr Elementary and Martin Meylin Middle School is Katie Snook.

Joining Snook as new teachers and guidance staff members at Martin Meylin Middle School are Amy Beard, health and physical education teacher; Michelle Diffendarfer, long-term substitute health and physical education teacher; Melinda Harden, learning support teacher; and Emily Lagaza, English language arts teacher. L-S High School welcomed Megan Burkhart, special education teacher; Kendall Krulock, health and physical education teacher; Elizabeth Reidenbaugh, long-term substitute Spanish teacher; and Hope Zimmerman, family and consumer science teacher.

New support staff members at Lampeter Elementary School are Kari Burkhart, reading assistant; Cynthia Machowski, special education teaching assistant; and Lauren Rinier, Kari Stoppard, and Madison Witt, School-Age Child Care (SACC) assistant group supervisors. Hans Herr Elementary School welcomed Paige Haring, reading assistant; Aletha Isaac, kitchen helper; Brianna Sangiamo, math assistant; and Brittany Theisen, reading assistant.

Martin Meylin Middle School's new support staff members are Barbara Bollinger, kitchen helper; Caleb Britton, personal care assistant; Jeanette Harnish, kitchen manager; and Robert Reath, second-shift lead custodian. L-S High School has welcomed Allyson Brian, assistant kitchen manager; Kathleen Denlinger and Andrea Ihnat, kitchen helpers; and Michael Gast and Susan Perugini, custodians. Karen Garvin the district's assistant food service director.
