L-S Boys Attend Basketball Camp

A total of 113 Lampeter-Strasburg (L-S) boys attended the Pioneers' basketball camp on June 21 to 24 at the high school. Three different sessions were held for specific age groups, and award winners for various competitions were announced.

Emory Fluhr received the Ryan Smith RELENTLESS Award for grades nine and 10. Competition winners included the following: Knockout Champ, Thad Book; Free Throw Champ, Justin Glick; X-Out Champ, Bennett Wehibe; Hot Shot Champ, Bennett Wehibe; 32 Speed Shooting Champ, Bennett Wehibe; 3-Point Shooting Champ, Justin Glick; and 3 on 3 Champs, Bennett Wehibe, Thad Book, and Kunj Savani.

NBA Team Champs included Bennett Wehibe, Preston Schonour, Dylan Bliss, Louie Malatesta, Judah White, Jaiden Burkholder, and Jared Hostetter.

In the seventh- and eighth-grade session, Asher Jones received the Ryan Smith RELENTLESS Award. Other competition winners were the following: Knockout Champ, Zack Frizado; Free Throw Champ, Brady Zuber; X-Out Champ, Brady Grau; Hot Shot Champ, Brady Grau; and 3-Point Shooting Champ, Brady Scranton.

ABA Team Champs were Brady Grau, Cam Koser, Asher Jones, Jordan Poole, Collin Conrad, Ross Book, Carter Peters, and Judah Lovern.

Evander Mathis was the recipient of the Ryan Smith RELENTLESS Award for the fifth- and sixth-grade session. Other award winners included NCAA Knockout Champ Carter Hess, NCAA Free Throw Champ Jesse Stark, and NCAA 3-Point Shooting Champ Reid Shultz.

NCAA Team Champs were Colton Burger, Luke Moyer, Carter Wilson, Andrew Rimert, Landon Laukhuff, Henry Ellis, and Reid Shultz.
