Lower Dauphin High School senior Timothy Koons was recently named Student of the Month by the Rotary Club of Hummelstown, and Lower Dauphin High School senior Bella Fry was named Young Woman of the Month by the Women's Club of Hummelstown.

Timothy is the son of Dawn and Stephen Koons. He is a four-year member of the band, concert band, and orchestra, where he plays the flute. He has also played the flute in the spring musical's pit orchestra for three years. He is a four-year member of the Class Council and was homecoming king this fall. Timothy is a two-year member of the Spanish National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society and a one-year member of the National Honor Society.

In addition, Timothy is active in his church as a youth leader and has participated in mission trips to West Virginia and Philadelphia.

He hopes to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology and major in production management.

Bella is the daughter of Katrina and Danny Fry. She is a four-year member of the swim team and is a four-year member of the Mini-THON committee, where she serves in a leadership role this year. She is a two-year member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, History Honor Society and Math Honor Society. She was also a member of the Spanish National Honor Society.

In the community, Bella volunteers at the Hershey Medical Center.

She hopes to attend Villanova University to major in biology with the goal of becoming a doctor or physician assistant.
