KCL Activities Calendar Posted

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Unless otherwise noted, registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Several story time programs will be offered. Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 2 will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesdays through March 8. Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Fridays through March 10. Family Story Time with Miss Felicia at Chick-fil-A, 2801 E. Market St., York, will be held on Tuesday, March 7, from 9 to 10 a.m.

The Teen Leadership group will meet on March 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to plan projects and programs for the teen space at the library. If interested, call Miss Kayla at 717-252-4080.

Project-based volunteering for youths ages 12 to 18 is also available. For more details or to offer an idea for a project, contact kreutzcreeklibrary@yorklibraries.org or Miss Kayla at the aforementioned phone number.

Tween Programs for people ages 9 to 11 will be held on Tuesdays, March 14 and 21, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on March 14, and the Library Squad will meet on March 21 to shape library programs for tweens.

Spoiler Alert, a virtual book review group for youths ages 12 to 18, will be held via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16. The group reads teen books and then posts reviews to Instagram and YouTube.

Builder's Club for children ages 6 to 12 will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on March 16. A variety of building toys will be available to participants, and no registration is required.

Stitch and Chat, a group of needleworkers, will meet on Thursdays, March 2 and 16, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on March 7 and 21 from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Attendees will meet in the Conference Room. Registration is not required.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will be offered on March 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room.

York Chess Club will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays from March 7 to 21 in the Community Room. Attendees may play chess, learn tips on how to improve their game, and meet like-minded people. People of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

The Green Thumb Garden Talk will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, in the Community Room. The program will be "Cleaner Indoor Air with Houseplants" with Melanie Markowski.

The Cookbook Discussion Group will gather in the Community Room on Thursday, March 23, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. to explore the theme "5-Ingredient Recipes." Attendees should bring a sweet or savory prepared dish and a copy of the recipe. All are welcome.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, in the Community Room. Attendees will share fundraising ideas and ways to raise awareness of the library in the community.

The Friends' spring used book, jewelry, puzzle, and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 28, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. The sale will take place in the Public Works Building across from the library.
