Jacob Karkoska of Mountville, a member of the Lebanon Valley College (LVC) football team, was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week ending Oct. 19.

The junior had a career-high eight tackles with all eight being solo stops in an LVC win over Widener. The linebacker had a 10-yard sack and led a strong defensive effort that allowed just 166 yards of total offense. The Dutchmen limited the Pride to 57 rushing yards and eight first downs. This is the first weekly award for Karkoska in his career.

Karkoska, a graduate of Hempfield High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health and physical education at LVC.
