The Donegal Junior High School cheer squad has 10 returning cheerleaders and seven new cheerleaders this year. Tryouts were held in March, and the team started its preseason in August.

In addition to cheering on the Donegal sports teams, the squad will engage in community service and perform at competitions. It took part in three competitions last year and hopes to compete in three to five this year.

The community has supported the squad via fundraisers through Little Dippers and Rita's. Additionally, the squad is supported by its booster club and Donegal's athletic department.

Tryouts for the 2023-24 school year will be held in March 2023. The team is coached by Kellye Herbert, who is in her fourth year.
