Juneteenth Waystation Event Posted

The 2021 Black Artist Waystation Reveal and Juneteenth Waystation presentations have been announced.

Visual artist Gerri McGritty will be present at Lancaster Museum of Art - Grubb Mansion, 135 N. Lime St., Lancaster. Attendees will be invited to sit on unconventional boxes and be transported by the cultures of the world that surrounds them. She will present a talk on Friday, June 18, at noon, and attendees may bring a lunch. The exhibit will be open from June 18 to Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Nathan Gadsden will present a short film festival on June 18 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 19, at 8 p.m. at Pocket Park (SOWE), Filbert and Fremont streets, Lancaster. Attendees are advised to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Shelby and Jordan Wormley will present visual art on the lawn at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, 204 N. Prince St., Lancaster. An artist talk will take place on Thursday, June 17, at 6 p.m., and the exhibit will be on display from June 18 to Wednesday, June 30.

On June 19, performative and visual artist Gracie Berry will present interactive performances featuring drummers at Reservoir Park, North Franklin and East King streets, at noon and at Crystal Park, First Street, Lancaster, at 3 p.m. All drummers are welcome to participate, and they are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the event.
