Indiantown Gap WAA Ceremony Planned

A Wreath Across America (WAA) ceremony will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, at noon at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (IGNC) in Annville. The veterans interred at IGNC will have their service and sacrifice remembered with live balsam wreaths and the reading of their names. Sponsorships are needed for the wreaths.

To attend the ceremony, attendees should arrive early and follow the event signs and instructions. There is no parking at Fort Indiantown Gap. Free parking and shuttle service will be available at the parking lots at Ingram Micro, 80 Micro Drive, Jonestown, and MSC, 100 MSC Drive, Jonestown, at Exit 90 off Interstate 81. Shuttle service to IGNC will begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly, wear comfortable walking shoes, and follow CDC guidelines. Individuals who are not feeling well or who are experiencing COVID symptoms should remain at home. A live broadcast of the ceremony will be streamed at http://www.facebook.com/WAAIGNCPA. A Toys for Tots donation box will be available at the Pennsylvania Veterans Memorial, and attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.
