Horn Farm To Hold Plant Sale

The Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, 4945 Horn Road, York, will hold its 10th annual plant sale on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The spring plant sale will be the first major public event held at the Horn Farm since the lightning strike and farmhouse fire in October 2021.

The plant sale will feature a wide variety of organically grown vegetable, herb, and flower starts for home gardening. Newly added this year are grasses, herbaceous perennials, vines, trees, and shrubs.

This year, customers will be able to shop for plants on-site. The sale will offer plants grown by the Horn Farm Center and its on-farm partners, including Kilgore Family Farm, Betsy's Flowers, Calyx Native Nursery, and Future Forest Plants. The plant sale will also host local vendors such as Ort Family Farm, Zari Herbal, Visual Design Arts, and others.

Visitors are asked to bring and wear face masks when social distancing is not possible during the event. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant will be available on-site. Proceeds will support local, regenerative farming practices and the educational programming of the Horn Farm Center.
