Horn Farm Center Sets Programs

Blooms & Berries: Late Spring Foraging Walk will take place on Sunday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees will learn about local plant ecology, wild edibles, and alternative uses for plants. The program will emphasize ethical foraging and ways of giving back to the land. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome.

Bundle Dye with Botanicals will be held on June 8 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Attendees will learn about the history of natural dyes and the process of transforming plants into dyes. Participants will also dye silk bandanas using the technique of bundle dyeing with a variety of dye material, including dried flowers, plant extracts, and kitchen waste, to create a range of natural colors. This class is open to people of all skill levels.
