Since 1947, the United State Marine Corps Reserve has operated Toys for Tots, a nonprofit charity, to help distribute toys to families facing financial hardship. Hundreds of local Toys for Tots campaigns are conducted annually in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. During the 2023 holiday season, the Chester County Toys for Tots distributed nearly 41,000 toys to more than 16,000 children.
