Holiday pop-up store to open

Hershey-based Stay Apparel Co. will open a holiday pop-up store on Thursday, Dec. 7, in the historic trolley-stop building at the Hershey History Center, 40 Northeast Drive.

Stay's Holly Jolly Trolley-Stop Pop-Up Shop will occupy the circa 1930 building, which measures a modest 9.5 feet by 7 feet. It sits at the front of the history center property, across from Starbucks and the Tanger Outlets Hershey.

Inside the shop, people will find vintage-inspired T-shirts and accessories, along with household and gift items. All items were made in the U.S., noted Neal Goulet, who founded Stay in 2017 with a focus on graphic T-shirts with a sense of place.

Outside, the pop-up store will feature a photo opportunity: an 8-foot wooden Christmas tree with four cutouts where ornaments are painted on the tree.

The store will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7 to Saturday Dec. 9; Thursday to Sunday, Dec. 14 to 17; and Thursday to Sunday, Dec. 21 to 24. Hours and days may be expanded based on customer interest.

The most up-to-date hours will be available on the Holly Jolly Trolley-Stop Pop-Up Shop tab on http://www.stayapparel.com.

Stay is a vendor at Hershey's downtown summer market, Market on Chocolate, and at pop-up events throughout southcentral Pennsylvania. The business also has a long association with the Hershey History Center, a nonprofit organization that since 1991 has been committed to a mission of preserving, promoting and interpreting the community's heritage. Stay has offered some of its products through the history center's gift shop and participated in its annual Mother's Day weekend Artfest.

Stay's pop-up coincides with the history center's annual holiday train show, which will run through Saturday, Dec. 30.
