Historical Society To Host Brubaker

The Mount Joy Area Historical Society will host Jack Brubaker as a guest speaker at the organization's monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, at the Cemetery Road Schoolhouse, 120 Fairview St., Mount Joy.

Brubaker, a native of Bird-in-Hand, writes a weekly newspaper column exploring local history and culture. He will share about the unique land and water resources of Lancaster County, as well as the ethnic, religious and political blend found in the area's population.

The historical society's building is open to the public every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Community members may stop by to do research and view Mount Joy memorabilia. For more information about the historical society, visit http://www.mountjoyhistory.com.
