High school names field after coach

At a ceremony held April 17 prior to the game against Elizabethtown, the Solanco High School softball field was officially named the Coach Brett Miller Field. Athletic director Anthony Hall applauded Miller's accolades through his 34 seasons of coaching and thanked him for the impact he had on the program.

Miller joined the teaching staff at Solanco in 1987. In 1989, he became the head coach, a position he held until his retirement in 2023. His career record was 548-197 and included 31 winning seasons. In 2018, the team finished 24-3. Under his guidance, Solanco captured 19 Section Championships, three Lancaster-Lebanon (L-L) League Championships, three L-L League runner-up honors, 29 district qualifying seasons, and four state qualifying seasons.
