Hershey Artfest Announced

The Hershey History Center will hold the 21st annual Hershey Artfest on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Englewood Hershey, 1219 W. End Ave., Hummelstown.

In honor of the United States' 250th anniversary, this year's festival will embrace an Americana theme. The event will highlight the craftsmanship, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit that has defined the nation for two and a half centuries.

The event will feature a wide array of artists, artisans, and authors across various mediums, including fine art, glass, books, ceramics and pottery, jewelry, mixed media, pet accessories, photography, textiles, and woodwork. There will also be a demonstration tent, where artists will share their techniques, the history of their work, and where they get inspiration. Erin Edith will be the first "live artist" featured at the event, producing a picture just for Hershey Artfest.

The festival will also include live entertainment, with performances throughout the day, as well as children's activities, including crafts, hands-on art stations, spin art, and a doodle booth. A variety of food options, including ethnic cuisine and signature sweets, will be available.

Admission is free, and ample parking is available nearby, with handicapped parking on-site. For more information, visit http://www.hersheyhistory.org/artfest, email artfest@hersheyhistory.org or call 717-520-0748.
