Healing Our Planet (HOP) will hold its first gathering on Friday, April 24, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster, 328 W. Orange St., Lancaster. Programs will continue to be held on the fourth Friday of each month.

HOP's programs will begin with a talking circle for people to share their concerns and ideas. Then, the group will plan and initiate activities, programs, and events to create unity and kindness in the community and to restore the environment. Light snacks and drinks will be provided at the meetings.

HOP is a new organization formed to create unity and kindness in the community and promote restoration of the environment. HOP is guided by Native Americans who live interdependent and interconnected to each other and Earth and have knowledge and skills instrumental in showing how to heal divided communities and the ecosystem.
