Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), 1000 S. Eisenhower Blvd., Middletown, will present "The Crown and the Cross" as its Passion play this year. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10.

The play will begin with a 20-minute musical telling of the Easter story performed by students in kindergarten through sixth grade. This portion of the show will include narration and contemporary songs.

In act two, students in grades seven through 12, as well as adult performers, will present "Via Crucis," following Jesus' final hours. Through dramatized narration, meditation and song, this prayerful depiction of the Gospels commemorates the love of Christ and honors His sacrifice.
