The 24th annual Haiti Benefit Auction of PA will take place at 338 N. Ronks Road, Bird-in-Hand, on Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16. Supper will be available starting at 4:30 p.m. on July 15, with the auction beginning promptly at 8 a.m. on July 16.
Supper options on July 15 will include chicken barbecue, as well as a pig roast, pizza, cheeseburgers, french fries, blooming onions, homemade soft pretzels and baked goods, and ice cream. Takeout via a drive-through will be available. Gospel singing by Grateful Voices, from Lebanon, will take place at 6 p.m., and the auction, featuring tools, quilts, crafts, and specialty items, will begin at 7 p.m.
On July 16, the day will kick off with breakfast from 6:30 to 9 a.m., featuring pancakes, sausages, eggs, home fries, fried mush, homemade doughnuts, coffee, and orange juice. A craft sale will start at 8 a.m., with a sale of tools, gardening, and hunting equipment at 8:15 a.m. New furniture will be sold at 9 a.m., with a sale of 60 to 70 quilts kicking off at 9:30 a.m. A 3-D winter scene picture by Aaron Zook and two 28-inch-tall metal crosses will be sold at noon. Tractors and more will be sold at 1 p.m. Also up for auction will be playsets, picnic tables, sheds, and more. There will also be a silent auction of miscellaneous services and goods.
Foods stands that will be available all day on July 16 will sell chicken barbecue, pulled pork sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, burgers, french fries, blooming onions, soft pretzels, homemade ice cream, milkshakes, and fry pies. There will also be a salad bar.
The auction is a relief effort of local churches, and 100% of sale proceeds will support Haiti missions.
