GSHS Seniors Receive Awards

Garden Spot High School held a senior awards ceremony on May 22 at Shady Maple Smorgasbord.

The winners included Saraiah Hoover, who received the Ashlee Rose Miller Memorial Scholarship, Eastern Lancaster County Education Association Scholarship, Garden Spot Lions Club Scholarship, Garden Spot Music Booster Club Scholarship, The John Gehr Scholarship, New Holland American Legion Scholarship, President's Award for Educational Excellence, and The Ressler Mill Foundation Keystone FFA Degree Award; Brooklynn Groff, who won The Foust Public Service Scholarship, Garden Spot Music Booster Club Scholarship, New Holland American Legion Scholarship,Outstanding World Languages Spanish Student Award, and President's Award for Educational Excellence; and Jazlyn Hoadley, Academic Hall of Fame Award - Agriculture Department, Garden Spot Lions Club Scholarship, President's Award for Educational Excellence, RD Herr Scholarship, and The Ressler Mill Foundation Keystone FFA Degree Award.

Also included were Megan Hechler, District III "E. Jerry Brooks" Academic Excellence Award, Outstanding Senior English Student Award, President's Award for Educational Excellence, and United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence; Jude Kauffman, Academic Hall of Fame Award - Applied Technology Department, Garden Spot Music Booster Club Scholarship, PIAA District III Fackler-Hower Athletic Sportsmanship Award, and United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence; Milani Ly, District III "E.
