Giving Testimony

14th Annual Life Awakening Fundraiser Scheduled

"It's a testimony night," said Linda Ingham, Life Awakening executive director. "We are doing something different."

Rather than featuring a speaker, Life Awakening's 14th annual fundraiser will include several testimonies from those whose lives have been changed by The Gospel Process, which Ingham has described as "a way to take people into freedom, healing, and victory, beyond salvation and into abundant life." The event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Springside Barn, 1294 Weaverland Road, East Earl, beginning with a fruit and dessert bar, including gluten-free options, at 6:30 p.m. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

Ingham and teacher and trainer Andrea Holder will speak about Life Awakening Academy (LA Academy), which premiered in August. LA Academy teaches The Gospel Process by dividing the program into four phases. Phase one, which will consist of four weeks of evening classes, will focus on the basics of breaking the power of sin. Phase two, a six-week Bible study, will examine God's plan for life in union with Christ. Phase three, which will take place on a single Saturday morning, will pinpoint God's plan for His children, and the final phase will be an eight-hour seminar to explore the facilitator's role.

The evening will also feature encouragement from members of The Kingdom Seekers Bible Study, a group of English and Plain community women formed by Ingham in 2006. The group has studied several books of the New Testament based on lessons written by Ingham.

There is no cost to attend the event, but reservations are necessary. Those wishing to attend are asked to email chelsea@lifeawakening07.org or call 717-354-2888 by Monday, Sept. 12. A freewill offering will be received.
